🌒 Chapter 7: The Man with His Eyes But Not His Heart

The rain had started again. It always did when she needed answers the most.
Ishani stood by the clinic’s window, fingers curled around the glass as if it could keep her grounded. Her reflection blurred with the drops—eyes haunted, lips trembling with unasked questions.

And then he walked in.

Dr. Reyansh.

Same face. Same deep voice. Same smirk.
But not him.

"You're early," he said casually, setting his files on the desk.

She turned slowly, eyes scanning him like a puzzle she was trying to solve. “Why do you look like someone I once loved?”

He froze, lips parting slightly. “Aryan?”
The name felt dangerous in his mouth.

Ishani’s silence screamed louder than words.

Reyansh stepped closer. “I’ve heard of him. Your... ex?”

“Don’t call him that,” she whispered.

He tilted his head. “Then what is he?”

My poison. My cure. My war. My surrender.
She wanted to scream it. Instead, she said, “Nothing anymore.”

Reyansh looked at her—not like a doctor. Not like a stranger. But like a mirror of everything she’d lost.

And then… he said it.

“What if I told you Aryan and I are more connected than you think?”

Her heart dropped.

“What do you mean?”

He sighed. “Aryan is my twin brother.”
